Best thing to buy in Lidl?

As a complementary thread yo the Aldi one, please tell us about your favourite Lidl things.

Also, if you prefer Lidl or Aldi for particular things, e.g. veg, wine, meat, etc

Had a pastel del nata from Tesco the other day, thinking it would be yummy like the Lidl ones. It was not.

Bloody love Lidl.

• Agree anything from the bakery, but particularly their cheese topped rolls
• Bar of chocolate with hazelnuts in
• Their salmon is really good value - bag of about 8 pieces of salmon for less than a tenner in the chiller cabinet.
• always buy their nuts and dried fruit, super cheap

Lidl potato salad in creme fraiche is absolutely divine.

I’m going tomorrow. And I’m taking this list for inspiration!

Frozen pretzels
Greek week tinned meals-particularly the gigantes beans, green beans and aubergine ones
Kansas City barbecue sauce
Their fresh onion bhajis, samosas and spring rolls are the best of any supermarket.
Cauliflower cheese burgers in the frozen section
Olive rolls

The 20 day old aged t bone steak also fruit and veg is very good.

Smoothies are nice too and got some excellent single duvets from there last week !

Random items but needed them desperately and didn't have a lot of time to shop that day so I was so pleased to get everything from there

Not food but is from Lidl ....their Cien Q10 intensive serum is really lush. It makes my skin look dewy and feels moisturised. A bargain at £2.99!

Good frozen chips.

We all love the croissants & pain au chocolate. The sourdough boule is good too.
Their gravlax.

Greek yoghurt.

Kids big pot fromage frais
Chocolate cookies with the hazelnut chocolate filling.
Their French or Italian ground coffee.
Kids prefer the Lidl Nutella to the branded one.
The Ruby Porter
Most of the wine
The Cienfuegos facial serum is good too.
The app is good, I get £12 off every month.

Their fresh turkey was very nice last year (way better and cheaper than M&S and our local butcher.

I looked everywhere for this today! Maybe it’s a summer only product? I’m new to Lidl and I love it!

Can't speak for anywhere else, @Cissyandflora, but here in the east midlands they have it all year round
Not very reliably, though - one week it'll be that and the next salted caramel along with the basics such as strawberry, chocolate, etc.

I really want to try it but I'm the only one who eats raisins in the family and I don't have space in the freezer at the moment for more ice cream. dp and dd think the Gelatelli (salted?) caramel one is the best.

The dark chocolate florentines at Christmas are amazing as are the bagged nuts . Greek coconut yoghurt is absolutely delicious.
