Alternative Christmas meal ideas

DH is not British and whilst can eat a roast dinner doesn't really enjoy it. We have two fussy DC who would live off Pizza if I let them. I want to make a nice Christmas meal but feel I will be the only one who who would actually enjoy a Roast.
Does anyone have anything completely different for Christmas lunch?

We have pizza and snacky stuff. It means nobody has to go to any effort as Christmas day is often the only day we get off work over Christmas. Have a roast most Sundays so don't feel like we're missing out!
Christmas day for us is an easy life on the sofa in front of the tv😁

We have whatever everyone wants, and for of DC, yes, that’s a pizza. It’s his Christmas too - if he hates a roast, why should he be fed one?

We’ve done roast beef, salmon en croute, moussaka, stir fry and lasagna over the years, with people opting in or out as desired, with quick alternatives available

My friend and her DC always just have party food/ buffet, of the sausage roll and pizza variety.

My MIL does a buffet too - it usually has turkey and roasties as part of it but then lots of smoked salmon, some kind of veggie tart for me, pates, cheeses, breads etc.

Thanks everyone I think the snacks/buffet type food sounds a good idea. DC would definitely prefer it and tbh would be so much easier Smile
