Have I messed up with message in card?

I have a friend with long-standing mental health issues. She recently told me that things are tough and that she sometimes feels suicidal (although doesn’t currently so no immediate risk). I sent her a card which said ‘You’re awesome’ on the front and inside I wrote ‘Life is so much better with you in it’.

She hasn’t acknowledged it or responded to another message when she normally would and I am now really worried that I’ve screwed up with the message. Does it look like I’m trying to make her feel bad for feeling that way? I was genuinely just trying to be nice.

Hmm no I think that’s a nice gesture.
Has she had it long enough to respond?
Did you definitely get the correct address?

If yes, then it would have been nice of her to acknowledge.

No I think you're over thinking it but don't be annoyed with yourself, I would also be over thinking it like I do with lots of things...

I have a lovely friend who is quite embarrassed to receive cards and gifts and doesn't mention them for a while. Maybe your friend is similar? Or maybe they haven't opened any post for a while if they are not feeling well?

I think it was a sweet message to let her know you're thinking of her 🙂

I understand if she is having a hard time messaging me isn’t a priority so it’s not that I’m annoyed she hasn’t. More that if I’ve messed up on the message I would want to say sorry.

Yes they are all possibilities. I’m not usually an over thinker but this is outside my expertise and experience.

Thank you @ChikiTIKI and @MaybeAMoaner for responding.

I’m happy to be told if I’ve got this wrong
