DC recently brought up a small museum we used to visit when they were little so we'll go and visit there on Saturday.
Quite fancy going to the cinema, not sure what we'd watch, but we'll probably do that Sunday.

What's everyone else up to this weekend?

Cinema tomorrow to watch Spencer, no other concrete plans except trying not to spend my wages before I get paid them as I seem to have been doing that for the last few months with nothing to show for it Confused

Going to see our former fosterling, he moved to his new family a year ago after spending his first year with us. He was 2 this week and we are dropping by with his present. I am very excited to see him again. A year ago DH was in hospital having had his Whipple's operation for cancer in his bile duct, getting out in time for the baby's first birthday was DH's goal and he made it. DH has also made it to his second birthday which is amazing as he was told he had 6 months in Dec 2020.

My dd is 10 and is going with her Guides troop to a Rememberance Day Service. My husband is finishing a week of 12 hr nights so he will be trying to readjust and I will be shopping and cleaning and general household stuff trying to get a head start into next week!

My eyes in laundry.

Heruka · 12/11/2021 18:52

Away for 2 nights without kids woohoooo! Have had massages and now in bed watching telly and mooching. Wonderful!

Queenfreak · 12/11/2021 18:54

4 year old has a chest infection (negative pcr), and my husband is away with his brother- so it's a nice quiet one here. Some crafts, reading games, being told how to play, and if I'm really lucky I'll get to do some housework!

coogee · 12/11/2021 18:54

Laying a wreath at the war memorial on Sunday.

Other than that, not much.

Mixitupalot · 12/11/2021 18:58

Tonight we are child free so we’re planning on getting a take Chinese.

Tomorrow I am deep cleaning the house in time for the estate agent to value it on Monday.

Sunday we are going to church for the memorial service and the out for dinner with family and back home for a movie.

First weekend off in ages so making the most of it.

JorisBonson · 12/11/2021 19:00

Shopping for house stuff tomorrow as we're redoing the living room. Dinner and then off to see Last Night in Soho.

Sunday I'll be sanding and painting furniture 😴

Youcancallmeval · 12/11/2021 19:03

Friend is having a rubbish time at the moment so popping to hers to drop off a goodie bag of things to cheer her up. She's 3 hours away, so that's tomorrow done really.

Pheebs2021 · 12/11/2021 19:05

We're planning on a wander to the coffee shop and that's about it really.

CurseofChristmas · 12/11/2021 19:07

Having a quiet weekend before a busy few weeks. Sorting out over 3,000 Lego pieces into sets again for my eldest DC. He has autism and it keeps him calm so it's worth it... I'm just dreading it. Grin

Coffeetree · 12/11/2021 19:09

Teaching some exercise classes. Having a pottery Saturday organising things and doing a safeguarding training for my new job.

Musicalmistress · 12/11/2021 19:10

Away with the caravan to one of our favourite sites with amazing views of the hills. Currently sitting with a Prosecco in hand & pretending I'm not going to have to spend most of the day tomo redrafting my Masters assignment. OH cooking some pasta concoction for dinner so all relatively chilled 🥂

Going with my husband to get a few bits of shopping, then for a walk around a lovely country park near to where we live. Later, an Indian takeaway and watching something on Netflix. Sunday will be spent lazing about before visiting son no. 2

bluechameleon · 12/11/2021 19:35

Hair appointments for me and both DC. I want to go for a woodland walk because I've had an indoorsy couple of weeks. Friend's wedding party tomorrow night then swimming and Remembrance Parade with Beavers for DS1 tomorrow.

vanillaskies · 12/11/2021 19:53

No plans as of yet! Going to try and do some crafts while DD sleeps (she's 3 months!) and get out for a walk with the dog...

legosnowqueen · 12/11/2021 19:53

Going to a local stately home in the morning with a friend, it's the start of the Christmas season with decorations & a special event where images are projected on walls in the rooms, sounds a bit cheesy but they did something similar 2 years ago which was wonderful- can't wait. Then in the evening I'm going to my first gig since the pandemic, have mixed feelings to be honest & would probably bail except an old uni friend is coming to stay & we're going with another uni pal. Guidance from the venue says masks are recommended but I can't see that being adhered to. Sunday will be a quiet day, catching up with ironing & walking the dog. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend...

SillyYak · 12/11/2021 20:00

DD (8) is going to a friend’s for a sleepover party. DP’s parents coming down to stay and look after DS (1), and we are going away to a swanky hotel for our first night alone together since before COVID.

stealingbeauty · 12/11/2021 20:20

Going to Lidl tomorrow for a food shop. Might pop into a couple of charity shops too.

Pub in the evening with friends.

Then on Sunday I’m working during the day and have a Pilates class in the evening.

GTAlogic · 12/11/2021 20:24
