Hi all,

I'm trying to remember the details of a series of books I once read, about a French detective. They were quite funny and the detective may have had a cat?! Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I was wondering if it was Maigret, but I don't think those are particularly comical?

Fred Vargas (author) - her character Commissaire Adamsberg? (I've read The Chalk Circle Man & another one I cant recall the title).

Monsieur Pamplemousse? He's a food inspector and part-time detective; he has a dog though, called Pommes Frites, not a cat.www.fantasticfiction.com/b/michael-bond/monsieur-pamplemousse/

There's a black and white French cat detective called William in a children's book called William and the Missing Masterpiece?

My first thought was Monsieur Pamplemousse. He has a dog but also a cat I think. The cat doesn’t feature much.
Very funny books.

Pamplemousse!! That's it! Thank you so much
