Can someone help me identify this creature?

After a thorough tidying session, I popped back into my bedroom to fluff cushions to find a brown grub making its way across my headboard. Shock

I am a bit insect phobic, and am imagining a nest of maggots under my bed. Can anyone identify this little guy, and where he might have come from?

Caterpillar? Crumpled up in the washing maybe?

DogsWithJobs · 11/11/2021 13:04

Erm, it's a caterpillar.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 11/11/2021 13:05

Grin Have you really never seen a caterpillar before?

WheelieBinPrincess · 11/11/2021 13:05

It’s just a caterpillar, surely you’ve seen one before?

Probably from a moth.

ApolloandDaphne · 11/11/2021 13:06

It's a cute little caterpillar. Just pop it outside on a plant.

Gatekeeper · 11/11/2021 13:07

looks like it's a clothes moth caterpillar

ItsABlizzardHarry · 11/11/2021 13:08
Hmm
LillithTheLynx · 11/11/2021 13:08

Ahaha, he wasn't furry like the caterpillars I've seen before so I thought he was something nasty emerging from one of my houseplants. I am actually shaking with fear. Grin

Yes that's an outside caterpillar, none of the clothes moth types that you have to worry about.

Thank you - I've put him on my balcony.

I understand the judgey faces but I am really scared of any creepy crawlies!

It looks like one of those box hedge caterpillars. We ripped all ours out this summer as they were riddled with them.
