Think of another name for a nun. Opposite of your brother.

French sad couple: ignore the tandem. They are french, and very unhappy. Possibly because they are in a long running musical.

Missing nun: the nun is missing, but what's another name for a nun?

History museum: think about the age of the person. He's writing something - maybe something you would write every day. And he is obviously interested in nature.

For the Natural History one, I only found it by using the key word search in Google Books with 'young' and 'diary'. I've still never heard of the book!

I didn't get the babies in the puddle until I typed it on here as a question then it was obvious.

The subtitle for Anne Frank's book is 'Diary of a young girl' except this isn't a girl (it's the boy's hobby).

Finally! Took so long to get the French couple - I had Bonjour Tristesse in my head and couldn't get it clear.

I'm still stuck on Paradise Boulevard and I've read the whole thread.

@WhistlersandJugglers the author shares the same name as Victoria Coren Mitchell’s husband. Synonym for Paradise (think most perfect place) and synonym for Boulevard (starts with A).
