What to write in a Christmas card for someone terminally ill

We have a mid mid 50's bachelor friend who was given a terminal (cancer) diagnosis recently :-( This is likely to be his last Christmas and I'm struggling to know what to write in his Christmas card. Does anyone have any inspiration for me please?

That you wish him a happy and peaceful Christmas. Keep it simple.

Oh, what a shame.

My late mother wrote in the Christmas card to her oncologist:

Cancer is shit.

But don't write that. Write that you hope he has a peaceful Christmas, with lots of love and our best wishes.

What would you normally write?

For the love of god, don't send him a card containing a message about it being his last Christmas.

My husband has a terminal diagnosis too and he would laugh out loud at that sentiment but, I agree, wish your colleague a peaceful Christmas.
