UC entitlement, seems all wrong?

Posting here for traffic... Just received my first UC entitlement summary and it's all wrong! First of all it includes my salary (the assessment period runs from 11th of Oct) but my last day of work was the 8th and I was actually paid on the 4th, so AFAIK it shouldn't have been included at all. Plus they're deducting things that either have already been or are already being paid via DD. Is there any hope they'll fix it? Or am I stuck this month?

So your final pay from your last job was received on 4th October? UC will get the information from HMRC as reported by your employer.

What are the other deductions that you've already paid or are paying off by D/D for? It's hard to advise without knowing this.

If you need any clarification UC are usually good at responding to journal messages about payment queries within a couple of days.

i would either call and ask or put a journal message up. either a mistake of can atleast explain why as no one here will be able to tell you

There are some amazing benefits advisors here but you’d need to give them details for them to be able to help… if you don’t want to do that, you’re better to either call UC or leave a note in your journal.

Can you post a screenshot/s of your latest Award statement (not just what you got but the breakdown) and we can try and help?

Thanks all! After not being able to sleep... It turns out that, because I was normally paid on the last working day of the month, that's when it gets reported to HRMC, so not much I can do about that. For my debt payments, I've called the helpline and again, I can eventually get a refund if I really want to, but for now not much I can do.
