Is there any where you can buy and Xbox X? I'd like to get one for my children for Christmas, they don't ask for much and their friends all have them from last year so I'd like them to have one too but it seems impossible

What one are you looking to buy? A quick google tells me that Very have the series S which I think is the digital version that we have (I'm no expert!).

Sorry just seen its an x - you coukd try GAME for a refurb?

You're best going on stock informer and setting alerts for when shops have them online. You can also try going to Game or Smyths store direct, they may have a preorder store list.

I feel your pain though, I was in the same situation last year with a PS5. Managed to get one on Amazon earlier this year by stock informer alerts.

It took me 3 months of trying to get one, so my son got it months after his birthday. He was happy to wait rather than have anything alternative. I ended up having to sign up to some Klarna x box and game pass thing with GAME- I’m paying for X box and son paid for the game pass element (he usually pays for the game pass monthly anyway). My son is 15 so he kept an eye on the trackers and would tell me who had stuff in. They usually go extremely fast, got fed up trying which is why we ended up with the weird deal.

If you're after a series X unless you're on the ball you're not likely to get one they've been out practically a year to the day and are forever out of stock. A compromise could be the series S which isn't just a digital version of the X it is a downgrade but also an upgrade from the xbox one X. A reasonable compromise. But as said before it is digital only which means you have to buy games off the Microsoft store or other websites that will give you a code to redeem.

Thanks all, I find it so confusing as I just don't know much about these things! Yes I do think I'm not going to be on the ball enough to get one. Currently my children have a switch which they like but find it a bit limiting.

@FrustratedTeddyLamp I'm not sure about the S really. Like you say it's a downgrade.

I'll sign up to some tracking sites

In the summer I went onto our local large tesco and they had one in, despite there being supply problems everywhere. I'd say it's worth checking large supermarkets.
