How much to spend of gift for friends birthday party?

Just wanted to get an idea of how much it's typical to spend on party gifts - kids are 6.

I bought something for £10 which feels right to me but don't want to be massively out of step!

I try to stick to £10 or under too OP. There’s just so many birthdays once kids are at school! To be honest I think £5 would be better but you can’t really get anything for £5 anymore…!

I sometimes get things on 3 for 2 so £20 for 3 gifts. I can afford more but it just seems ridiculous for that kind of group party - I would do more for a special friend.
