Home baked good. How long til you throw them away?

Just curious.

Daughter did some baking last week, so we have cupcakes and gingerbread biscuits left that haven't been eaten.

I would usually chuck home baked stuff after a week, but someone else said as long as they're stored well, it shouldn't matter if its up to 2 weeks.

Where is your cut off on cupcakes/biscuits you've baked at home?

it's not something I can see you could have a rule about, surely you take it case by case and use your eyes? That's theoretical for me as I don't think I've ever thrown away any home baking

Don't make biscuits but cakes will last over ten days easily.

Sorry, I'm confused. Cake and biscuits that haven't been eaten? Does not compute.

I agree with when stale/mouldy.
