Does anyone else feel like this? One or more of us in our house has been unwell variously with Covid, chest infections, or normal cold for the last 8 sodding weeks. I recently started a new job with a Long commute and it's knackering and a lot of get my head around. The house is a mess. We are in the middle of house selling/buying and there seems to be a lot of finding paperwork and what not and general stress around that. Ive done zero Christmas shopping. DP is working away at least two nights a week between now and christmas. We have four kids between us and they all need ferrying different places. The dog Walker has just gone off on long term sick so I need to sort something out for the hounds whilst We work. The shower has broken. Just feel like getting in bed and staying there at this point! How can I get on top of all
This? Feel so overwhelmed and anxious and I don't know how to shake it and get on with things...

Oh my, you've really got a lot on your plate at the moment... it's horrible when you feel overwhelmed with stuff. When you can bear to, write everything down in a list and prioritize what needs to be done first and do it. Might not work for everyone, but it definitely works for me to do this and to cross off what I've done. It makes me feel like I'm making progress. And don't forget to breathe 😉
Hugs and I hope things will improve soon 🌻

Yes, me too! Between working, kids, having a house that needs a lot of work and just being unable to resist working for causes I care about (e.g. I spent the other night writing to my MP, and I spent last Saturday marching). Christmas is looming, and I'm barely keeping up with the basics of life. Laundry, meal planning, cooking are all scraping by.

I wrote everything down on post it notes then arranged on a wall, prioritising and grouping. It helped a bit, but more stuff keeps coming and I feel stretched.

Trying to prioritise things which will give me energy - fun stuff, exercise- but it's tough to do.

Thankyou both. I did a list and I rocked some it's off it. Do feel slightly better. JBe schedules to do very little This weekend so can concertina getting some more hits done. Just having a wobble I think because it's all been a bit much lately
