Diary week to view with notes pages help

It's that time of year where I need to get stuff down for next year.

I've tried online diaries this year and it's worked but I want to go back to a bit of a hybrid of both

Looking for a week to view diary on one page with notes on the other. With a fair few notes pages at the back of the diary so that it should last the year

The Smythson Soho was my go to (way before children and I actually wince at the thought now) but surely there has to be something like it out there.

I've seen the Moleskin and Lechtturn but not sure how many spare pages there are. Are there any others that people can recommend please

How fancy do you need it to be? I bought a binding machine second hand on Ebay and print my own. Its a terrible faff designing it all and my efforts look homemade, but I can do A5 or A4 spiral bound.
(If I was more confident with Excel, I could probably automate most of the dates and days.)

Moleskine is great.

Retirementunderrated · 10/11/2021 10:54

Just check the actual cm measurements though, as they make a large which isn't very large about A5 I think, and an extra large. Great colours, inserts and plenty of space.
Also it has a few weeks 'overlap' at the start & end so I often use the July/Aug pages for extra notes space (when I buy the 18mth version).

Academic 18 mth.

I need to go to a physical store I think to look at the Moleskin.....

I think it's only Moleskin and Lechtturn who do them (oh and Smythson which is definitely out of the price range!)

Being a bit old fashioned, what about a filofax. Get the diary layout you want and add as many note pages as you want.

OhMrDarcy · 10/11/2021 15:03

Look online at TOAD diaries as you can get them made up any size and layout to suit. I love them and they are reasonably priced

Kittykatmacbill · 10/11/2021 15:13

My local tkmaxx had a lot of diary in from different suppliers, definitely worth a look.

I love my Filofax and I've had one for years. My favourite thing is that I can leave in some of last year when I put next year in, plus you don't have to copy out all your essential addresses etc in the back. Also you can have notes in the back and add to them. Every so often I treat myself to a new one and recently I've downsized to a smaller one so I can take it in my handbag.

Not moleskin or anything fancy but I've been using these Boxclever diaries for years

Athenajm80 · 10/11/2021 17:35

I used one of these for my first proper journal last year.

It has blank pages at the back, a notes section as well as other bits that you may or may not want. I didn't really use the goals pages but just turned them into more notes pages. I found it to be good quality and actually used it for a whole year which is very unlike me. I went for a different one this year (I started in October) which is great but no notes section on the weekly pages. I'm going back to the legend one next time I think

The problem is that nothing comes close to the Smythson Diaries, I too struggle each year as I can't find anything I like as much and can't justify the cost post children. I can't help - just wanted to say I understand!

CampervanQueen · 10/11/2021 17:41

I've just sent you a DM - I can help you out with this.

Carlissa · 10/11/2021 17:44

I love the moleskine ones, I get the medium one every year.

MegBusset · 10/11/2021 17:46

I swear by Busy B diaries. They have a side each for work and home which is super useful.

Ive used the moleskine journal/notebook diary for the last 10 years. It has the week on the left side, notes on the right, several notes pages at the back. Its a large but thats actually about A5 but a little thinner
