Unfinished dreams

I was awake for an hour or so last night, but got back to sleep which meant when the alarm went off I was right in the middle of a very vivid dream and missed the end of it. I'm really irrationally annoyed about it this morning. Unfortunately, I am not one of those people who can get back into dreams the following night and consciously finishing the story while I'm awake isn't as satisfying, but I do want to know what happens.

So I wondered if someone else telling me how it ends would help - and maybe others have interrupted dreams they'd like help with too?

In my dream, me and my dream-family were living in a rural cottage with a strange and slightly creepy old man next door. (Who looked a bit like Samuel Beckett.) Every time we came home, there seemed to be something slightly off in the house, but I couldn't say what had changed, until random items started to appear - first an old style portable b&w telly in the corner of the living room, then a zipped up tartan laundry bag. I thought the man next door might be letting himself in and leaving them, and we were about to open the bag when... I woke up.

What's in the bag? Is it the neighbour trying to spook us or is something else going on? And does anyone else have a half-finished dream they need an ending for?

I have this all the time and it’s so frustrating. And I also really want to know what was in the bag 😂
