Anxiety over work ruining evenings

I started a new job a month ago. I am suddenly super anxious in work about checking Ive done things like I've locked all the doors/ turned the appliances off etc. Just that would be OK. But it's actually ruining my evenings. I spend all night convincing myself I've forgotten to do something important. Any tips?

It's weird because I'm not in any way like it at home. And it's the depth of the worry that's worrying me. I've been driving my DP mad this evening asking him over and over again "But what if I forgot to do X and Y happens".

What about a checklist? We use these at work as there's a lot to remember when closing up.

I have been known to take photos of things switched off or unplugged!

With locking doors - I do something that makes me aware of what I am doing - so lock and then test and say the door is locked to myself. That way nothing is done on autopilot and you can remember it.

Checklist is a good suggestion.
