I live in semi detached
How do I know if the sound insulation between the two properties is adequate??

How old is the house? The age will tell you a lot.

Buy a drumkit and ask the neighbours if they noticed

I wish it was funny, so bad
Our neighbours are harassing us (numerous different incidents) my daughter is scared in her own garden because of them.
But one of their 'complaints' about us is our 'noise' - I put in inverted commas as they have completely lied before so I can't trust them at all. But I'm terrified that we'll get done for noise.
It's just me and my child here

Please can anyone advise how I find this out
I don't feel safe here I don't feel I can be myself i wish I'd never moved here and I'm stuck

It is really difficult to make a complaint about neighbour noise successfully

They would have to have evidence (recordings usually) of you making very loud noise, repeatedly or constantly. It would have to be seriously loud, not just normal family noise.

If you are just living normal life with normal noise levels it’s very very very unlikely you could get done for any noise complaint - even if the walls are paper thin.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with such difficult neighbours. Have you told any authorities about the way they are treating you?

Yes I have
But it's all down to proof sadly and lack of
There is an ongoing investigation about the latest incident which is classed as a public order offence
I don't know what the outcome will be
But the harassment is very hard to prove 😞
