So rude people know they're rude?

After having a rude encounter with a customer today in work, it actually got me thinking... do rude people know that they are rude? Or is it something they are completely unaware of? Do they mean to be ignorant and simply not care? Like for example I'm always very upbeat, chatty, outgoing but has there been a time where someone has thought I was extremely rude that I was completely unaware of. Of does it boil down to how sensitive and easily offended we as individuals are?

I hope you understand what I'm saying...

What's your thoughts?

@PeeAche 💐 that's awful, I'm so sorry you were treated like that.

Is this rude or no nonsense?
I work in an office of 3, a colleague from next office will come in, could be the morning or afternoon but it will be the first time she has seen us for the day. She'll ask my colleague "can you scan this?" or "have you got any documents you want me to deal with?". She will not greet any of us & just ask what she wants. Rude or no nonsense?
We're like Shock everytime (although we shouldn't be.)

I'm pretty sure my colleagues think I'm rude as my emails are very formal, brief and concise, whereas they punctuate with smiley faces and multiple kisses to sign off (and always hit reply all grr, even when simply saying thanks to the original sender..why do I need nine more emails popping up in my inbox saying thanks to someone else?!)

I still can't bring myself to use kisses or smiley faces in work emails, but I'm aware that I'm probably the rude bitch to them...
