In town?

Cervicalflop · 09/11/2021 18:39

DISHOOM restaurant in the City Centre is quite nice and reasonable priced. Quite a big restaurant and lovely food.

Yes in town please.

Thanks @Cervicalflop

Dishoom! One of my favourite places to eat in town.

I second Ashas. If it’s good enough for Tom Cruise Grin

A friend went to Tamatanga at the weekend and said it was the nicest indian food she'd ever tasted, and the cocktails were good too.

Greenmarmalade · 09/11/2021 23:03

Dishoom is so lovely but expensive. There’s a nice, small street food type place just off new st- the Indian streetery.

Greenmarmalade · 09/11/2021 23:03

I’ve also heard Tamatanga is good, from Indian friends.

Does it need to be in town due to you being on the train ?

As, if you are driving, you can save yourself a packet (parking as well as cost in curry house) and get a HUGE choice of different curry or balti houses by going to Stirchley.

bonfireheart · 09/11/2021 23:24

Who else is with you OP? I ask because Stirchley as an area is not very nice and not worth the trek for a curry!
Agree with others about Dishoom and Tamatanga, both have great service and decor. Tamatanga is especially great value for money.

It's not in town - but a mile or so down the Cov Road from the NEC (and just off it), is a small restaurant called Sreepur and their food is bloody amazing. Easy to park too.

Eh ?
I don't know where you live, but there is nothing wrong with Stirchley. What an odd thing to say Confused

Viceroy in the Jewellery Quarter!

Tamatanga. The food was to die for!! Lovely atmosphere, great staff, good value.

@kite22 I've been to Stitchley many a time and it is odd.
