Explanations for strange happenings

I’m honestly stumped at a logical answer.
For example…
Hearing someone in the shop talking on the phone when passing you about something which is SO specific it’s like they MUST have been able to see you in your home.
Door on latch when son comes home from college but I didn’t put it down, no one else did and it’s absolutely not broken… tested by almost slamming door shut multiple times to see if it drops itself.
Most recent… searched for my purse for half an hour tonight and EMPTIED my bag 3 times to triple check so transferred food shop money to another card I had available to use in shop… go to pay, reach into my bag and my purse is in there… no one else had access to my bag, was on me the whole time from checking to finding it.
Any answers that are logical?

I've had similar happen to me op.

I think the saying "sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees" is very true in cases like these. It's almost like you just go blind to that item and even more so when you start panicking!

At work we blame the "ghost" for any strange happenings.
It's a bit of a joke between us.

Almost all the "ghost" happenings turn out to have a normal explanation.
Those that don't are probably simply because no one's bothered to explain later.

I ransacked every pocket in a jacket as we went to the pub for lunch the other day. I knew I put one in there, I had dropped it the previous day when hoiking out poo bags on a dog walk, black polka dot one.

but no, it wasn't there, even got dh to check, no, pockets empty apart from poo bags, keys, dog biscuits phone and change

Sprinted back home, got one out of my bag, black paisley pattern, walked to pub, went in with paisley mask on, sat down coat off, dog treats out as dogface was being good under the table, and the first thing out of my pocket was....

the bloody polka dot mask!

Isn’t it bizarre?!
I even emptied my bag out in front of another human tonight to ask them to see for me that it really wasn’t there… HOW does it just appear again?!
Sometimes I truly believe that we are in a simulation and these things are “glitches”.
