Visiting the V and A

Has anyone visited the Curiouser and Curiouser exhibition at the V and A? Roughly how long did it take to see the exhibition?
If we wanted to have a brief look at some of the permanent exhibitions as well, how long would you allow?

The better part of a day!

No idea about that particular exhibition but the V&A is such a huge site. It takes ages to walk from one area to another (do not encumber yourself with unnecessary bags and coats and stuff) and you’ll need to stop for coffee / lunch / loo - all of which have to be found, if not queued for.

So you’ll enjoy it best if you give yourself loads of time and don’t try to rush. It’s a while since I was last there, it brings back all sorts of exceptional memories.

We went and took around 2 hours for the exhibition. There is a virtual reality thing that DH queued for about 30 minutes for (I didn't bother as he's the big fan) and he said that was the best bit. It's not massive so it probably depends how much of a fan you are (you can probably tell I'm not!)

You could take days it's so vast. As a warning of all the museums in south ken there's not much for kids and they get bored pretty quick.

Thanks all. Realistically we'll only have around 2.5/ 3 hours so think perhaps we'll just aim to do the Alice exhibition and not much else and go back another time. @makelovenotpetrol done Science/NHM previously. DD older now & keen to see this particular exhibition. Thanks all.

V and A is not ideal for 'a brief look'. I have been to the British Galleries multiple times and never finished them as we are always tired by halfway.

Have a great time
