Silent reflux or milk intolerance?

Hi lovlies, I was wondering if anyone has experienced this with their little one?

My LB is 12 weeks and from 2 weeks old has been a non stop screamer! He constantly arches his back, spits up, refuses second half of feed but when hes really hungry he squirms while taking it. He cant lie on his back for more than 5 minutes because screaming, hes a crap napper during the day and I mean crap! 15 minutes is his longest! His poos are runny and smell like vinegar? His little bum is red even though I do put cream on it and change nappy regularly, he would get really big massive boogys up his nose which blocks it, hes very chesty and congested, hiccups ALOT, doesnt like being massaged on stomach and cries in the bath and squirms. We have tried every formula going and hes on 10mg of omeprazole for "silent reflux" but I just cant shift the feeling off something is terribly wrong. Night time he grunts and cries and moves so much like hes in so much pain. I'm fed up phoning the doctors as I sound like a panicky FTM :-( xx

When DS was a baby he had silent reflux and was on meds fir it to keep his milk down. He didn't have all your DC's symptoms as well. I'd be wanting to talk to the GP or health visitor and detail all those extra symptoms too. Best to have things ruled out rather than worry if it could be something else Flowers

SummerorAutumn Thank you, I've phoned the doctors there and waiting on a call back. I just have this gut feeling theres more to it and its frustrating when everyone just tells you "he will grow out of it" they arent the ones seeing their child in so much pain and discomfort :-( its breaking my heart xxx

I hope you manage to get some help for your DS today. Mine grew out of the silent reflux eventually, when he was able to sit up unaided and so it helped to keep things down. We were also advised to start weaning earlier (at 4 months) but that was on medical advice to give him something more solid in his tummy.

I should add he's now 12 yo and almost taller than me Grin But I'll never forget those very worrying times. Really hope it all works out for you and your DS. Take care x

@SummerOrAutumn Thank you! I've just been fobbed off and told to let the omeprazole kick in for 2 weeks..but yet hes been on it for 5 weeks already 🤔 it's just been upped. But she wants to see him to reassure me at 11.40.

Awww that's amazing!! It's great to hear your boy doing so well. Thank you for replying to me xxx
