Notice period- 3 calendar months? Help!

If my notice period is 3 months, and I had in my notice on 8th November, is my last day 31st January (ie 12 weeks), 8th February (ie 3 calendar months) or 7th February?

Depends on your contract.
DH's last place of work they had to receive the resignation before the last day of the month. If you submitted it on e.g. the 15th, it wouldn't count until the last day of the month and then would be three months from then.
