Fridge Help!

Anyone know much about fridges?

Our fridge has always been on the louder side but always made a slight humming noise.

Putting the food shop away earlier and noticed it went silent. Never done this before and the internal light was on.

Unplugged it and plugged it back in again and dusted off the coils at the back. It started humming again. About an hour later it stopped again. Turned the thermostat down the coolest point and it kicked back in again and turned the thermostat back to normal.

What could be causing this?

I am hoping I don't need a new one 😭

Is the drainage hole at the back blocked? Mine makes some very odd noises if that gets clogged (not silent though but maybe still worth checking).

Thank you. Drainage hole? It's still humming at the moment so I'm scared to move it. Honestly I'm the worst fridge owner. I didn't even see a drainage hole

Some times there's a little tray at the back of the fridge actually in the housing that needs cleaning too and the bottom in the gap.

Is that the drip tray? No idea how to get it off of clean it
