Should I open my Xmas present (lighthearted)

My girlfriend of one year (we don't live together)has bought my present early. I know what it is.
I didn't know she was going to bring it over and leave it, in its box, in my sodding bedroom. I REALLY want to open it. I'm dying to. But.... is it nicer for her if I don't? She'd say she wouldn't mind. I want to start wearing it.
I'm 40. Not 4. Argh.

Leave it until Christmas!

Turtles25 · 06/11/2021 15:54

Nope!!
My husband bought me a gorgeous pandora ring for Christmas (I know because I chose it) and when I tried it on for size (it fits!!) I wanted to keep wearing it - it matches my earrings after all. Wink but I know on Christmas day, it'll be just as exciting opening it and wearing it in the day. ❤

I know that is what I'll be like! I want to wear it 'just once then I'll put it back'... Knowing my luck I'll stain it or something

Well as you don't live together I say OPEN it!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 06/11/2021 16:33

If it was a kitten I'd say yes, as it would be a bit mean to leave it wrapped up for another seven weeks...

...but it sounds like its probably a hat or one glove so no I think you should leave it alone. Although you can squeeze the box and shake it. (Don't do this if it is a kitten though)

Grin Grin Not a kitten (I'd love a kitten)! But a coat, she works in security for a designer brand but it is a coat that I'd never be able to afford in a zillion years, that she's got with a huge discount. I'm so excited (I'm not shallow, honestly)!

I think I may do it :) it retails at a lot more than I'd pay so I'm being a bit of an idiot about it
