Negative effects of giving up caffeine?

Back in April I gave up caffeine, I used to have around 8 cups of tea/coffee per day. Around that time I started to have UTI symptoms, plenty of trips to the doctors confirmed urine all clear and no infection. I have been referred to a Urologist who is doing investigations. I need the toilet all day, every day.

I ordered a Costa yesterday, and accidently forgot to ask for decaff (i'm aware decaff still has a small amount of caffine), so ended up having a full caff latte. I was expecting my bladder to be on fire all evening, but randomly, it was the best its felt in a long time.

Could there be something to this or am i going even more mad?? I'd drunk caffeine for about 15 years before giving it up.

I gave up caffeine 2.5 years ago (although I do have an occasional coke on holiday) and have only positive effects. It’s helped with my anxiety, I feel more on an even keel and like not having to have certain drinks at certain times. I did mostly only drink decaf before but would a caffeine latte if I was out sometimes.

The only negative side effect I have had is putting on weight. The caffeine gives us artificial boosts of energy which I missed and substituted with food. Resulting in weight gain (similar to quitting smoking I guess).

Are you menopausal?
Those (bladder) symptoms were what I got too. All the investigations. HRT did the trick.
I tried giving up caffeine too and it had zero effect.
