I have polycystic ovaries and needed a laparoscapy to have some cysts removed and small holes lasered and luckily I caught with my two children.
25 years on my daughter is showing signs of also having the the condition.
Periods all over the place, extra hair, trouble keeping weight down etc.
She is trying to conceive and failing for a year.
GP have done bload tests and she's had a scan. The results show she doesn't have it.
Where do we go from here ?
Has anyone had clear results yet their body shows all the symptoms of it?
Is there something we can say or do to convince the GP to refer her on ?

Do you know what blood tests she had? Did they check she had ovulated?

Yes I've had that. I have the symptoms but it didn't show in bloods. They found some evidence in a scan but seemingly not enough to worry about. I found that I had to go on Yasmin to conceive - sounds stupid but I used it to regulate my cycles and then ttc in the 6 months after coming off it as thought that was my best chance. Also a low GI diet helped.

Not experienced in this but heard dr chatterjee's feel better, live more podcast and episode 8 is about hormonal health / pcos. I urge your daughter to check it out x
