I discovered this a few days ago and we've had it on tonight and our 2 usually terrified cats have been nicely chilled and sleeping.

It's on again tomorrow evening 6-10pm, I'm sure lots of folk already know but just incase.

Wow how thoughtful unfortunately I lost my dog last year but she would have loved it sounds like a war zone where I am right now!

FreyaHazel · 05/11/2021 21:05

I've just put this on for my dogs and I'm feeling super relaxed as well Grin

MagentaRocks · 05/11/2021 21:20

It worked with my dogs for the quieter fireworks but the really noisy ones distressed them. Poor things.

Our spaniel, who had been barking and stressed during Diwali fireworks earlier this week, is now happily dozing while the music plays and is ignoring the noise from outside. Let's hope it's finished before 10pm when the music stops.

There's a pet playlist if you need longer. Still going off here, seems all the neighbours didn't think the local display was good enough.

My cat is LOVING Rachmaninov. I had no idea he was so highbrow.
I adore the messages from listeners, there's a python out there who's scared of the bangs 🥰

ClassicFMsavedmycat · 05/11/2021 21:46

My cat was so chilled but my poor Jack Russell was a shivering, panting shaking mess. The music didn’t do anything for her at all.
Puss is obviously a cut above the dog

Greydog · 05/11/2021 21:52

Did nothing for our hound. However the soundtrack to Chicago helped. As did the washing machine. Now on Christmas songs. But I really wish they'd bugger off with the stupid fireworks. Tomorrow I think I;ll start with the Scorpions greatest hits, and maybe Verdi Requiem, and some more washing

NutellaEllaElla · 05/11/2021 21:54

Funnily enough, my other cat only made an appearance and indeed purred in my arms when I was watching something with Bohemian Rhapsody as the soundtrack. These cats are not compatible.

tabulahrasa · 05/11/2021 21:56

As a warning for some dogs... they’ve targeted the ads for pet owners (which makes sense) but that means there’s adverts with barking dogs playing.

NutellaEllaElla · 05/11/2021 22:17

Classic FM have a spotify playlist for pets, no ads and whatever time you like.

NotMyCat · 05/11/2021 22:21

My cat is trying to open the window to "go out an watch the bang bangs up close"
Er. No

EishetChayil · 05/11/2021 22:22

I was planning to put this on for my cat, but the chilled out little bugger was quite happy sprawled on the couch as Rome burned outside.

Babyroobs · 05/11/2021 23:24

My poor boy has still been terrified, shaking etc for hours despite soothing chakra music for dogs. It worked for him late last night but not so well this evening.

Gilead · 05/11/2021 23:44

thisworks well for some pets.
