Year 14 funding

My DD is due to finish Year 13 this summer and is deciding what to do next. Not keen on going to uni at the moment and was considering doing a 1 year vocational course at a local college as a 'gap' year.

My question is, would she get funding for this course or as she will have already completed 2 years in Sixth Form this would mean she wouldn't be eligible?

She won't actually be 19 until Jul 2023 if that makes a difference.

As I understand it,
if she has passed A levels or equivalent level 3 course then she wouldn't be eligible for funding.
if she failed (literally Us) A levels or only did a level 2 course then yes there would be funding for a third year.

Unhelpfully, it depends. Have a look on the college website and there will be info on finance. My DD will do an art foundation and there are no fees as long as she is no older than 19.
