Who do I contact to praise hospital staff?

Had an ELCS last week and have noted the names of some of the staff that were truly excellent at their jobs.

I'm wanting to pass on my praise and thanks but not really sure who to contact at the hospital or how to go about doing it so that it will be recognised?

Any help would be appreciated Smile

I would probably call the ward to get the email address for the Ward Manager, or email PALS and ask them to pass it on to the relevant department.

Our hospital website has a feedback form.

Go to PALS, they will be so so grateful for praise as I know I would be (nhs nurse) especially as covid hit us all hard.

You sound lovely, OP. Most people are so quick to complain but don't bother to praise. They will really appreciate it!Smile

And congratulations BTW!

You can write directly to the Chief Exec - that will be fed back to the staff and also get them some recognition from high up. As an NHS worker I would like to say thank you for taking the time to do this, it means so much for staff during these very challenging times.

Pals or chief executive . Praise will be passed on to the right people

bigbluebus · 04/11/2021 20:38

Do they have a Patient Experience Manager? If not, then address to Chief Exec and ask for thanks to be passed on. We did this when we wanted to thank the staff at a hospital a family member had been in.

PALS. It's for praise, not just complaints.

I wrote to PALS after my miscarriage that put me in A&E singling put one nurse I'm particular but general thanks to all the staff we saw. Got a reply in about 2 hours thanking me and assuring me it would be passed on.

Thank you all for replying! Smile

@EllaPaella I managed to find the Chief Exec's email address online and have emailed her this morning, praising the staff and asking her to pass on my heartfelt thanks.

Here's hoping it gets back to them 🤞🏻

Mailing the chief exec is a great idea, well done! You can also send/drop off a card to the delivery suite, there's usually a display board for thank you cards and photos etc.

Just a quick update - the Chief Exec has replied and assured me that my thanks would be passed on to the staff Smile
