Toddler with plaster cast - any tips?

Our not quite two year old is now in a plaster cast for a suspected toddler fracture, likely to be for a few weeks. It’s his lower leg, ie below the knee, so we can still manage car seat, etc, and he can crawl and kneel fairly easily.

Is there anything I need to be mindful of, or any good advice out there about how best to manage it? Clearly baths are out so will be giving him a flannel wash. Struggled to get joggers over it yesterday! Would welcome any tips…

Try and solve the joggers issue by looking for ones that will fit over, or if the waist band is the issue, cut down the side and sew on Velcro.

This is because toast or small objects posted down the cast is best avoided….

Not sure if Limbo and other cast covers that allow showing are made in toddler sizes. They can be made to measure and are delivered really quickly.

Socks in bigger sizes to keep his toes warm.
