Is there still a blood test vial shortage?

Anyone know? I need to see a GP and I think I’ll need a test, so I’m wondering if there’s any point.

I was offered a routine test recently which surprised me - completely non essential , think a health check kind of thing. So assume shortage is over.

I was told still a shortage last week so no routine tests. I did make a fuss about it though and in the end they did do them.

GP here - no shortage in London but I think possibly still in some bits of the country.
