Getting Divorced.

After advice in the absence of anyone at all to talk to. I am desperate to get away from H with my DD, but I just don't know how. I don't love him. He knows this but he will not go, if I go in the spare room to sleep, he follows. I am smothered at stuck.
House is in joint names- I don't feel strong enough to ask him to leave. I tried to leave before to my parents, yet my mother called H and he brought me back.
I know I have to see a solicitor, but the only money I have access to is in our joint account. I only earn about £100 a week. I would like to find somewhere to rent, but I'd need UC. DD has additional needs so I can't take on any more hours. How do I apply for benefits when I own half a house but cannot get H to separate? DD and I are so unhappy here, but we have nowhere to go. Please help?

No-one has to stay with someone they don't want to be with.
Have you contacted Womens Aid to see if they can offer advice ?

I haven't. Would they even be bothered since I'm not in fear of our lives?

You need to talk to him about how you feel, agree to separate them you can apply for uc whilst still living in the sand house. The amount of hours you will be required to take on will be determined by uc - if over 5 and under 12 it's school hours only, nothing to do with sn. If you are eligible for dla it's a good idea to apply before you split as that's extra money

Ps we lived in the same house for 7 months post separation, this is common
