Should I fix my energy price?

Just that really. We were with one of the companies that went bust and have now been switched to another one. We’re currently on their variable for £107 a month (dual fuel) and they’re offering a fixed 12 month one for £158. This seems a big jump but also nervous for possible future increases. What do I do?

Martin Lewis from Money saving expert says to not fix now as you will pay more and whilst this goes against the usual advice the price cap means it is cheaper to not fix.

Ah amazing thank you, I seem to have missed this! I'll go see if I can find what he said
