What is your favourite and least favourite household task/chore?

Lighthearted obviously!

I meal plan each week as my dp never has a preference and will eat anything so I get to eat whatever I fancy everyday

I would rather sell my first born than empty the dishwasher

I usually love cooking, although in his old age DH is becoming more set in his ways and doesn't like me trying out a lot of new things. Yet he gets recipes himself from newspapers and the Internet.

I like putting laundry on but hate folding and putting it away.

I am allergic to unloading the dishwasher.

I like hoovering; I find it so satisfying to see the mess sucked up, leaving a nice, clean carpet.

Hate washing the dishes. Just ugh. Boring, makes my back ache, hate when the water gets cold.

Oh, and I also hate putting the laundry away. Don't know why, just feels like a ball ache. Funnily enough, I quite like putting washing on and hanging it out.

I like doing the laundry, especially pegging it out on a summer’s day. Don’t mind hoovering once I get going, but hate doing everything else.

Favourite: Food shopping, cooking.

Hate: Ironing, so I don’t do it.
Washing up, so I have a machine to do it.
Cleaning, so I pay someone else to do it.

To add to my earlier comment, I didn’t even count food planning/shopping/cooking in the chores, as I really enjoy those (most of the time...). Reading a cookbook is one of my favourite things to do. So if I were including those, they’d be my combined favourite.

Tonight I’m making Diana Henry’s chicken with wild mushrooms, pumpkin, rice and sage butter. It smells divine!!

I’m not into cleaning, really, and I do as little of it as I can possibly get away with whilst still being happy to live in my home. Once in a while I’ll have a proper blitz, but life’s too short to worry about some accumulated dust here and there.

Hated tasks; cleaning the dishwasher filter, cleaning the wet room shower trap and cleaning the condenser unit on the tumble dryer.

Good tasks; loading the dishwasher (especially the moment you drop the tablet in, gently lift the door up with your footkick the door shut and press start), vacuuming when everywhere is already clear, cleaning windows and scrubbing the countertops so they shine, polishing glass or wood. And I don't mind ironing.

Tasks that never get done; ironing or hand scrubbing the (black) kitchen floor even though it needs it

I like: cleaning the toilet (it's a bit of an obsession), polishing, changing the beds, hanging washing on the line, loading the dishwasher.

Hate: cooking (although I do it reluctantly), emptying the dishwasher, ironing, cleaning the oven.

I'm classing her as a household chore cos she's right outside and needs attending to daily!!

I really enjoy cooking but absolutely hate washing dishes.

I’m genuinely upset that we’ve moved to a house and we have nowhere to plug our dishwasher in.

I don’t mind cleaning but we are a messy family and I fucking HATE tidying up!

Love cleaning the windows and hoovering.
I hate doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen, is it just my kitchen that's filthy again 0.2 seconds after you've cleaned it!

I like cooking and don’t mind loading the dishwasher and tidying up. Hate putting away clothes, unloading the dishwasher and organising drawers.

My favourite chore is dusting, vacuuming and organising drawers and cupboards. I also enjoy hanging washing out when the weather permits.

The worst tasks are ironing, cleaning the hob and oven. I also hate emptying the dishwasher as mine is at the opposite side of the kitchen to my cupboards.

I hate putting the grocery shopping away.

I love writing a list of what's in each freezer drawer. I hate doing everything else. Cleaning the kitchen floor and putting away cutlery is the most detested.
