Lighthearted obviously!

I meal plan each week as my dp never has a preference and will eat anything so I get to eat whatever I fancy everyday Cake

I would rather sell my first born than empty the dishwasher Grin

Emptying the dishwasher. And putting the clothes out to dry and then putting them away 😫

allofthecheese · 03/11/2021 15:03

Oh and quite like hoovering but that's it Grin

ColinTheKoala · 03/11/2021 15:30

I'm not sure I really like anything but don't mind loading the washing machine.

Least favourite is putting rubbish in compost bin. I hate lifting the lid and all the flying things come out at me. Recently DH took some stuff out to it and there was a mouse in there looking at him ;) At least it wasn't a rat.

Thatsplentyjack · 03/11/2021 15:34

I like hoovering. I like the look of freshly hoovered carpets. The thing I hate the very most is putting g clean washing away. It takes so long and no matter how many times I sort drawers and wardrobes they are always a mess so I'm basically just ramming clothes into the little space available.

MakkaPakkas · 03/11/2021 15:35

I enjoy hanging out washing on a sunny day
I hate... Pretty much everything else but especially tidying up after other people

BettyfromBristol · 03/11/2021 15:39

I enjoy anything to do with laundry. Pegging out, sorting, ironing, putting away. I detest unpacking the shopping and would happily leave stuff in bags on the kitchen table until needed.

AgnesPerdita · 03/11/2021 15:44

I love the laundry and cleaning the downstairs until it smells gorgeous and looks like a show home!

However I hate cleaning the bathroom and hoovering the stairs. These have been designated to DH as jobs. Along with the litter tray and bins!

LadyCatStark · 03/11/2021 15:50

I hate it all! I hate the fact that all housework jobs involve going round and round and round in circles and never actually ending. You put the dishwasher on, a plate appears. Clean the kitchen, it’s time to cook another meal. Mop the floor, the dog comes running in. Finish the laundry (I don’t think I’ve ever got that far…), everyone gets changed for bed.

MintyGreenDream · 03/11/2021 16:09

Hate putting clothes away.
Like hoovering as got a cordless

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 03/11/2021 16:14

I hate cleaning the fridge. Don’t like the plug hole. 🤢🤢

I love dusting the living room, polishing the furniture and hoovering the carpet and rug. Then I replenish the bowl of pinecones with whatever essential oil I’m using as fragrance (atm it’s bay oil). If I’m feeling very committed I’ll wash the windows.

When that’s all done I’ll sit down with a book and a glass of wine and enjoy the bliss of a perfectly clean and tidy room.

number87inthequeue · 03/11/2021 16:15

I quite like putting washing in the machine- but only because it is quick but somehow feels like a big job done. I like putting washing on the line when the weather is really nice.

Hate all other housework. I can't get a robot vacuum cleaner, because the dog (the major reason for the constant bloody hoovering) would see it as some sort of rodent to be killed and chewed (he has already destroyed several vacuum cleaner attachments on this basis, and they don't even move).

Meal planning can do one too. People speak of it as the answer to everything and I picture other families sitting around happily offering up interesting ideas etc. Whenever I've tried to involve the DC we either get arguments because one suggests something the other 'hates' but strangely ate last week or everyone says they don't mind and will eat anything (which is irritating in itself, but more so knowing that at least one of the will moan when I don't get what they want).

Soyouthought · 03/11/2021 16:25

I hadn't realised people actually liked any chores! Who knew!

ArtichokeAardvark · 03/11/2021 16:36

Love hoovering, and bizarrely also love doing laundry. I get twitchy if the laundry basket is too full!

Hate hate hate emptying the dishwasher, mostly because I always forget to do it until I'm washing up after supper and it doubles the workload. Also hate mopping.

Elephantsparade · 03/11/2021 16:40

I hate cleaning the toilets. We have two and our child with SEN makes quite a mess, so i probably clean 20 toilets a week.

I vaguelly like, erm, cleaning the kitchen worktops?

GoingForAWalk · 03/11/2021 17:54

I hate hoovering and mopping. I'm obsessed with having a sparkly clean toilet.

Amdone123 · 03/11/2021 18:00

@KristinAmandaThomas, I shop little and often and tend to just throw it in the cupboards or the fridge when I get home. Then in the morning I start organising.
I must also have a bad memory as only this morning I emptied, cleaned and organised the fridge and I've just looked in for tea and found a brownie!

Blackmagicqueen · 03/11/2021 18:03

Hate washing skirting boards with a vengeance (probably why they are abit manky in places!)

Blackmagicqueen · 03/11/2021 18:05

Dont mind hoovering or laundry.

Blackmagicqueen · 03/11/2021 18:07

'When that’s all done I’ll sit down with a book and a glass of wine and enjoy the bliss of a perfectly clean and tidy room.'

Can i live vicariously through you @HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule ? My toddler kust messes it all up again! Shock

Blackmagicqueen · 03/11/2021 18:07

just*

Bearsbearsbears40 · 03/11/2021 18:09

I don’t mind laundry or ironing, I can see the dirty clothes pile getting smaller and the cupboards getting filled with nicely pressed, clean clothes. I do have an irrational hatred, oddly, of changing the kitchen roll on the holder when it’s finished and putting the cardboard tube into recycling. I have no idea why, it’s not like it’s a difficult task.

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 03/11/2021 18:10

Sure thing!

Yes I remember the toddler days (long ago now...). They’re lovely little troublemakers aren’t they! Gotta say I’m enjoying having grown up children.😆

LucyGrey · 03/11/2021 18:10

I've grown to like hoovering but I hate hate hate hanging up or putting away washing.

TheVanguardSix · 03/11/2021 18:13

Hate all of it. I'm bloody good at it, I'll admit.
But I do hate it.
However, I LOVE watching my eufy robot vacuum do what I don't have to!

shangelawasrobbed · 03/11/2021 18:18

I don't mind shopping, meal planning and cooking. I also don't mind loading/emptying the dishwasher or cleaning the kitchen surfaces/hob. And I'm fine with doing the laundry (although I don't iron, don't even own one).

I hate hoovering, dusting, cleaning the oven and taking the bins out (we have shared bins in the alley at the back and the smell always knocks me sick). I'm not over keen on cleaning the bathroom but I at least find it satisfying when it's all white and shiny afterwards.
