I'm going to Birmingham Christmas market this year, not been before but it's supposed to be a good Christmas market.

The winter illuminations at Yorkshire Wildlife Park are brilliant. We went last year, and it was better than I expected.

We've booked the Santa trains at the Severn Valley Railway and I'm so excited

I love it but it's much smaller than it used to be

Carol concert and illuminated forest walks.

We get a real tree from a Christmas tree farm - there are a few by us, take your wellies, walk into the field and pick your tree then someone comes with a saw and cuts it down for you.

Churches near us usually have a Christmas Tree festival on with trees in the church decorated around a theme and that is nice to go round when it's dark in the evening.

A visit to the Panto is a classic as well.

Longleat is fabulous at Christmas - you could spend a few days at the Centre Parcs there

Last year when few things were open due to the pandemic, we took the children to Silverstone festival of Christmas lights. It was excellent. You only pay per car not per person. You get to drive around the F1 track which is decorated and lite up with animated Christmas scenes etc and Santa was there in a big Christmas bauble. He’ll probably be allowed out of the bauble this year because restrictions have been lifted. There were laser light shows and snow storms too. Then afterwards there was a showing of ‘the snowman’ on a large screen at the drive in cinema area. It was a really good night. Look it up on silverstone’s own website.

Thanks everyone for the ideas, I’ll take a look.
