Christmas decorations at the office?

I know there is a Christmas area on here, but I wanted opinions from people who may not like Christmas, may not celebrate it, may not be bothered about it etc as well as those die hard Christmas fans.

Does your office decorate for Christmas? Do you like it? Is it too much?

I'm in charge this year of the 'festivities' which includes decorating. Usually we only have a tree in the entrance of the building and nothing else. Occasionally Christmas music the week before closing and we do mulled wine and mince pies in the kitchen on Friday's in December.

I'm just trying to decide if I should get more decs to make the place more festive or if that's annoying for people? My boss doesn't celebrate Christmas himself but likes to still do something as a company and make the place look nice for those who do celebrate.

If they don't usually do more, no need to push the boat out further.

One thing that went down well at my old place though was a cheap advent calendar per person on every desk on December 1st. Especially on Mondays when we had three each, and January 2nd, where we sat there eating all the leftovers.

I find it really annoying. Its a work place not santa's grotto. Certainly dont do more than the usual.

Personally I'd love it. Everywhere is nicer with a fuck ton of fairy lights. The choc advent calendar is a fab idea too
