Can you ring ITU during the night?

My dad was being transferred to ITU last night to be ventilated. His ward were going to ring dm when he left but didn't (guessing they didn't want to past a certain time?). WIBU to ring ITU to find out how he is? Can't sleep

Of course you can phone, I certainly would. I hope your dad gets better soon, you must be so worried and things seem so much worse in the middle of the night.

Please do ring them, they don't mind. The three times I have been in ICU my family have phoned all times of the day and night to check on me for various reasons. My DH even phoned them at 3am after I had been discharged as he was worried about some symptoms I was displaying at the time.

I hope your Dad gets better soon.
