Apple Watch- would it work in my bra?

Hey, I've searched and can't find a topic so I'm hoping you can help?

I'm not permitted to wear my watch on my wrist at work so wanted to wear somewhere it will track my activity. Would the Apple Watch sensor work in my bra next to my skin?

Thanks for reading 🥰

Unsure about your bra, but you could buy necklace holders for activity monitors a few years ago, have a Google a d see if they do them for the Apple watch. I know you can buy the nurses fob type cases for them.

Amazon does indeed have pendants, however, Apple themselves say that whilst they can be worn around the neck wearing them anywhere other than the wrist reduces functionality.

You could buy an action sleeve and wear it on your bicep. Just looked on Amazon and they've sold out but there is one going on eBay for £1.99 ( used).

I can't answer your question but I'd like to say that the title for this thread made me chuckle (child that I am) Grin

We can't wear a watch at work so a lot of us have ankle straps and it works fine

ErrolTheDragon · 01/11/2021 23:45

I don't think the way it detects activity would work correctly other than on a wrist or possibly ankle as mainly seems to work off arm swings.

The heart rate monitor might work in your bra, can't imagine it would in a pendant.

I put my garmin on the strap of my bra with the face inward for work. Counts steps well but not convinced it does a great job on HR but that's not important to me in work. Can just check my own 🤣

Thanks for the replies, I'll try it on my ankle. I'm not sure if I'd be permitted to wear it on my bicep either. But I'll ask xx

I sometimes have to wear wrist braces for exercise so I use a larger strap and wear it on my ankle. Seems to work okay for short sessions.

icedcoffees · 02/11/2021 06:49

If you're just tracking steps would it not be easier to get a pedometer and clip it to your belt loops or something?

NeilBuchananisBanksy · 02/11/2021 09:05

I have a fit bit with a clip which I wear on my pants. Worth a look?
