Sending gifts to Cyprus

My mum exchanges birthday & Christmas gifts with a friend in Cyprus.

Friend tends to buy online from shops in the UK for delivery to my mum, but up until now my mum has either bought in the UK and posted, or used Amazon.

She was v embarrased when friend had to pay custom charges the last time she sent something, and with postage costs tending to be nearly the same as the cost of the gift, she was thinking of trying to buy from a Cypriot source, to be paid online and then delivered to friend.

Does anyone do this and know of any good sources? I've found the online site for M&S in Cyprus that looks like it would be possible to buy from but was wondering if there were any others.

It depends what sort of present your mum is looking to send. If you look at the malls websites (mall of Cyprus, mall of Nicosia etc,) you can see a large range of shops. Most deliver and have English options on their websites. If you know what sort of gift I can make more specific suggestions. M&s definitely exist in Cyprus and do deliver do its alwaus an option

She usually sends homeware, clothes, jewellery or flowers - not hugely expensive, probably around the £50 mark.

I'll send her the Mall of Cyprus and Mall of Nicosia sites - they look pretty much what she's looking for.

For jewelery look at Metaxas, public is good for nice books and stationery, there's lots of homewear stores in the malls, also super home centre (not in the mall). Most big UK chains are also in Cyprus
