Just that really. Would love to get a book of Nordic folktales for a friend but looking for something really beautiful/special.

Would love if anyone can point me in the direction of one!

Vaesen or Norse Gods, by Johan Egerkrans? The illustrations are extraordinary. They are descriptions rather than stories, but they are quite wonderful.
