How to repair rips in mesh trainers?

It's these bloomin' Nike 270's. Comfy as hell but I wish I'd known about the propensity of the mesh tearing before I bought them. Too late to return, no receipt now either.

I have two clean tears and I'm not sure If I'll make them worse by trying to stitch them.

Is there such a thing as a black sticking plaster type thingy I could apply to the inside? Ideally with the flexibility of micropore, but more durable...

I bought some adhesive waterproof tape to repair a tear in a waterproof coat. It's not invisible but is black like the coat so doesn't stand out a mile.

Thanks, that sounds ideal, is it quite soft?

Yes - soft and bendy. Very sticky.

I have the same issue in my Nike mesh trainers however it’s a hole where my big toe would be. Rest of the trainer is in such good condition and not sure how I repair the hole?

I stitched up a large hole at big toe area in my son's Nike mesh trainers. The stitching has held well, so worth a try.

Black cloth behind and super glue the mesh to it from the front...

I've got the same problem with my Nike mesh trainers - terrible quality. They got a whole in less than a month.
