Has anyone used OnBuy.com?

I really want a PC that can handle games aswell. However I cannot afford a brand new one that costs around a grand.

I’ve found this website that sells refurbished ones at a much reasonable £300.

However, it does sound a bit too good to be true. Has anyone bought from there?

I have used onbuy but purely for an apple charger for my phone and it was genuine, came in good time and I am very happy with it but that was an inexpensive item.

I bought my kids beds off of there. Same product but cheaper than Robert Dyas, got topcashback on the transaction and was delivered exactly when it said it would be.

I’d buy from them again.

Well that’s two good reviews so far. I might take the plunge

Thank you

I used it recently to buy some pepper pig toys for my DD. Arrived within the time, no problems, would recommend and use again.

I used it to buy a board game last xmas. Think it came from china (due to length of shipping time), and was quite clearly a fake. I did eventually get my money back, but it took a while and it was a bit of a palava!

It's £300 for a reason.

They don't list the model of the processor for a reason. With a bit of detective work (socket 1155) you can work out that it's an 8-year old core i5 processor, and the GPU was released almost 6 years ago, and wasn't even remotely good back then...

In all likelihood - given the components aren't age-matched, plus, the case has USB3, but the motherboard doesn't - this has been thrown together from parts of redundant or broken machines.

For a budget of £300ish you're miles better off going for an Xbox One Series S and a couple of years of gamepass ultimate.

It's a marketplace, so ensure you read the reviews of the sellers first. I've used it quite a few times and received utter cheap broken shite, but received refunds quickly. also received perfectly good stuff.

Thank you Fix. I won’t do that then

I bought Bose noise cancelling headphones from OnBuy, no issues.

CatsCatsCats11 · 01/11/2021 11:29

It's a uk version of Amazon, so lots of different sellers. The website is genuine.

I bought a metal fly screen, it was good value, arrived on time & is good quality
