Could anyone recommend a family diary app?

I’m looking for a (hopefully) free app for the family. It will include 1 child and I need stuff like who is doing school pick ups/dog walking and stuff.

Before I buy a huge whiteboard for the kitchen does anyone use one they swear by?

We use picnic. This was mainly for 4 of us with phones to see each other’s schedules

We use FamCal. Works for us and each have the app on our phone

Buy the whiteboard.

I tried one once. All that happened was I spent ages updating it for DH to forget his log in and just ask me anyway.

The whiteboard is simple and works. We can both update and see it. It's not tucked away on our phones easily forgotten about

I might do both tbh @Twizbe. Need an app that DS can check when leaving school in case he forgets where he is going but my DM might struggle with the app- am hoping to be able to screenshot etc too

We just use Google Calendar, sharing ours and then I've got calendars set up for each of the kids, which we all share. We've got a shared shopping list and just tell our Google assistants to add things on to it when they run out or there's something we fancy. It helps that 3 out of 4 of us have Android phones and we have Google assistants around the house instead of Alexa, it's all baked in to our phones, really. That Picniic app does look good if you're a mix though?

Google calendar for us, with different colours for different people. Probably doesn't offer all the functionality you'd like though.
