Mulled wine recipe

Does anyone have an easy mulled wine recipe?

I usually buy the mulled wine spice bags but I am not able to find them in the shops any more.

I'm looking for an easy recipe to make from scratch.

I'm thinking about
Slices of orange
Cloves
Cinnamon
Brown sugar

Added into red wine.

Would that work or does anyone have any other recipe.

We used to make industrial quantities for after nativity and the school christmas fair when I was active in the PTA. I appreciate you probably don't want to make an entire stock pot of it but our recipe was:-

An orange, stuck all over with cloves.
Six bottles of cheap red wine. Mainly because wine comes in boxes of six bottles or a bag with three.
Three or four whole sticks of cinnamon.
About half a bag of sugar.
Put in a stock pot and set on a very low heat for about half an hour.
It's ready when anyone who enters the church hall kitchen starts to swoon with the aroma!

I also add port and star anise to mine
