Dress up for Halloween or not?

Do you dress up for Halloween?

We were supposed to be going to a Halloween party at a friend of mines, then on the trick or treat. DD1 has now dumped me for an invitation to trick or treat after the party with new school friends, which I can go along on.

I was going to be dressing up for friends party then the local TTing, now we are going to new friends and their parent if I dress up she’ll apparently DIE of embarrassment (a tween).

So go along to it all dressed up?
Go along to it all not dressed up?
Go to the party dressed up and sit in my car allowing her to TT with friends and their parent alone?

Have never met friends parent.

Are you definitely invited to the new trick and treating?

They said to come along but now I’m not sure if it’s a pity invite 😂

I’m so socially conscious I uninvite myself to things constantly!

I’d probably go for option three.

Does your DD want you to go trick and treating with the new friends?

What were you wearing to the party? Could you have normal clothes underneath/ change at end of party? Drop DC to t+t and try to see if other parents are going

Yes she wants to go, may do the changing thing to drop her off then make myself scarce!
