It’s just the parent company, so (I think) instead of Instagram saying owned by Facebook, it will just say owned by Meta.

Facebook is still Facebook, it’s just owned by Meta.

Google has a similar setup - it’s owned by Alphabet.

I wonder if it's so they can sell off the actual facebook for £££ but the parent company can go on doing other things....
