IKEA swivel chair - what age/how big?

Hello everyone

Just wondering what age the IKEA swivel egg chairs are good up to? Have a very small 9 year old with SEN ( who likes to spin and be enclosed) but thinking they are probably too small? If so any other recommendations at all?

I can’t get to IKEA hence can’t look in person.

Many thanks!

Those kids swivel chair are really small so I don't think suitable for an age 9, even if small.

We went shopping for a kids desk chair there last week - My small 8 year old got an adult chair, their kids desk chair would have been fine if you were 4 or 5!

Thanks! That’s what I was wondering. Might have to save up for a swing type egg chair

They are are much too small for nine year olds. You can get cheaper egg chairs that aren't on a stand, you attach them to the ceiling joist if you are DIY savvy.

They’re very small, I bet he’s all arms and legs now too?
Worth considering is a sensory swing. We don’t have one, but our sensory room at school has a couple and I’m considering one for home! It should take up less space than a firm framed egg and has the added benefit of compression. I’ll add a link to show the sort of thing I mean, but they’re widely available.

Thanks everyone - I can’t have anything that attaches unfortunately but won’t go for the IKEA!
