Ds2 who's profoundly deaf and autistic just rang me via type talk to say he had chest pains and felt clammy. He's rang an ambulance and support staff are on their way... He keeps apologising to me for waking me up. His temperature is 34.4. Hope the support staff and ambulance arrive soon. I'm very scared and so is he.

Sending positivity. He's with professionals who know what they're doing.
Such a worrying time for youFlowers

HollowTalk · 30/10/2021 08:52

I hope he's okay. That sounds really frightening.

Takemetothe90s · 30/10/2021 08:54

@Elderflower14

I'm waiting to hear what they say... Will decide later whether to go or not.
Really?? Go to your son!
Elderflower14 · 30/10/2021 08:58

@Takemetothe90s Thanks for that... I am now. In fact I've forgotten my purse and have had to go back home!

Has he had Covid? If tests don't yield anything, try looking at his standing HR. The guidance on long Covid now states to look for dysautonomia, of which chest pains is a symptom. Hope he's ok.

Flowersintheattic2021 · 30/10/2021 09:06

Covid also causes chest pain

Medicaltextbook · 30/10/2021 09:07

Well done him on calling 999 and the support workers, not always easy with autism.

Hey from another NC’er who ‘knows’ you and your lovely DS from years back.
So hope your sweet lad is ok and it is just something mild and he’s back to himself soon. Well done to him for his quick thinking and acting this morning you must be very proud of him xx

Elderflower14 · 30/10/2021 09:39

Now at the station again... We drove halfway back. Mr NDN rang Mrs NDN and he picked my purse up and met us.
